New Year, New Site!

Welcome to the new look website for Hidden Cam Studios.

If you've visited before I hope you like the new stream-lined interface. If this is your first visit, then I hope you find everything you're looking for easily.

Coming up this month we have The Jems, in the studio for the second time to record another backing track with their live band, this time for the Grand Final of Open Mic UK at Birmingham's NEC on January 18th. I'm expecting big things from this group whether they win or not so do yourself a favour and check them out at a small venue while you still can - they're playing The Prince Albert in Brighton on January 30th with a special acoustic set.

Later this year, some mixing for festival favourites King Lagoon's Flying Swordfish Dance Band, the long awaited debut album from Clowns, mixed and mastered at Hidden Cam last year, and a presumed 4th album from local legends Vile Imbeciles following up their road-testing of new material late last year.

Also, friends of the studio Milk & Biscuits, OctopusesPrince Vaseline are playing a triple bill on the 31st at The Green Door Store. Nothing to do with the studio, that one, but worth you checking out.

I'm also pleased to announce that, following on from my association with Open Mic UK last year, I will also be judging at this years' Teen Star, a nationwide singing competition for the under 19s. Audition dates for the rest of the country can be found on the website, but Brighton's auditions take place at The Hove Centre on February 22nd. Book your place in the auditions now!
